Thrive!  There, we said it.  It perfectly describes how businesses and Londonderry live together in harmony.  Of course we want business to find their fit in Londonderry – that’s why we’ve designed our community and zoned its development in such a way that very little gets disturbed, and an awful lot gets accomplished.  This is why international, national, and local businesses find Londonderry so appealing.

Londonderry is a place of Yankee stone walls, apple orchards, white church steeples, excellence in school sports and classroom academics.  It’s also a place of high technology optics, sustainable consumer products, verve in our sports teams, and a deep pride in our arts and music.  In fact, Londonderry hosts its own 100-acre Eco-Park anchored by a 752-MW natural gas-fired electric generating station.  The Park plays a big part in Sustainable Londonderry – a community-wide program that recycles, develops, manages and delivers our products and services in an ecologically sound manner.

Companies look to New Hampshire differently these days.  We are part of the metro-Boston trading area so much so that our ultra-modern, high capacity airport is known as Manchester-Boston Regional Airport – as we and our neighboring city of Manchester, no longer cede any exclusivity to Boston on affordable transportation matters these days.

There’s a pride in our community that runs deep through our generations.  People believe that their name is associated with Londonderry values, and the town’s leaders plan to keep those values in the forefront of every decision they make.

Londonderry’s government is modern, efficient, and fully-open to the public  through that wonderful Yankee tradition of Town Meeting – the annual community assembly to discuss exactly how we treat each other and what matters most to us.  Town Meeting is local government at its best!

Londonderry’s professional community management and development staff is top notch.  Their task is to say “yes” until they find out there is a very, very good reason they have to say “No.”  Each assignment they undertake to assist a business locating in Londonderry is done so with the philosophy that we want good things to happen here!  We’ll work with prospective new or expanding companies and local businesses to make “yes” become their reality.

We chose the word “thrive” for good reason.  Americans have never wanted just to exist, as a culture and a country, we aim to succeed…to thrive, and then encourage as many others as we can to do the same.

This is how Londonderry, the region, the state, and our fellow communities and developers think about, and plan the future of Londonderry’s 1,000+ acres of commercial/industrial “shovel-ready” land adjacent to the new Manchester-Boston Airport Access Road scheduled to open in mid-2012.  We call the area “The NH Enterprize Corridor” – the center of which is Londonderry.
